Sharon Ministries is a evangelistic Christian Ministry that specialises in teacher and leader training. In addition, we are dedicated to reaching children for Christ throughout South Africa by means of school, children's church, Sunday School and camp ministry.
Our ministry programmes include action songs, Bible stories, Gospel object lessons, balloon twisting, paper cutting, Gospel illusions, games and competitions.
Our goal is to train children in a fun way, while drawing them into a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ, and to teach them to grow in their Spiritual lives.
We are regular speakers and presenters at National Children’s Ministry Conferences in South Africa. We also conduct an extensive range of training workshops for Children’s Church teachers, leaders and workers at host churches throughout the country.
We have published and make available a number of training manuals to support our workshops. In addition we supply a series of story, object lesson and visual aid books as teaching resources for busy teachers and leaders.
Current projects include extending our Website to cover pre-schoolers through to teens, and publishing further training and teacher resource books and materials.
Our ministry was established more than thirty years ago and is run by Eric and Ursula Wood. Eric comes from a background of being an elder in our church and is a full-time children's minister and director of the group. He is the author of a number of children's ministry resource and training manuals and books.
Ursula has run Sunday Schools and Children's Clubs since she was a teenager, and specialises in songs, music and counselling and is prime mover of our puppet ministry.
