Materials Needed:

Cardboard paper plates.
Thin elastic. scissors.
Coloured wax crayons.

Memory Verse:

"God gives us all things to enjoy" (1 Timothy 6:17).

Age Group:

Preschool to Grade 2.

A mask made from a paper plate

Making the Masks:

  1.  Help each child cut out holes in their paper plate for their eyes, nose and mouth.
  2.  Attach a length of thin elastic to holes made on the sides of the paper plates.
  3.  This should be just long enough to slip over the children's heads and hold the mask in place.
  4.  Choose a Bible character or animal for each child.
  5.  Help the children colour in and decorate their mask.
  6.  Slip the elastic over their heads and they will be the character you give them.

Story Presentation:

If will be fun for the children to make a mask and then learn the story.  They can then role play the scenes from the story they have learnt.

Alternately if time is short, you could tell the story while they act out the parts of the story characters.

God bless!
