Call out a colour and the children must quickly find that colour on
something in the room and go and touch it. It does not
matter if some or all of the children touch the same object.
For example you could say, "I'm going to call out a colour and you
must find something of that colour in the room. Look around
and run to something that is that colour. Then go to it as
fast as you can, and touch it with your hand! Are you ready?
I want you to find something RED. Go!"
You could wait until the first child touches an object of that colour,
then immediately call another colour.
Alternately, wait until everyone is able to find and touch something
of the colour you called.
To make the game more exciting, after calling a colour, slowly count
up to 5 or 10. Any child who is unable to find and touch that
colour while you count, must sit out until you start a new game.
