Age Group:

Preschool to Grade 2.

Introduction:

We enjoy meat and vegetables at meal times.  But, how many times do we remember thank God for giving the farmers good soil?  Today we are going to finish a picture of a farm.  It has lots of God's good soil and green grass in the pasture.

I want you to add all sorts of vegetables to the plowed land, and lots of cows and sheep to the pasture.

Activity:

Let each child draw vegetables in the foreground, and add farm animals in the pasture.  They can then colour in the entire picture.

Application:

When God created the earth, He made the mountains, hills and plains with good soil on the second day.  On the third day, God made trees, grasses and vegetables.  And then on the sixth day, God made cows, pigs, sheep and other tame animals, and finally man who was to care for them and plant vegetables in the ground. God makes sure that the farm lands get rain so that the crops will grow and the animals will grow.  And God looks after us so that we can enjoy tasty meals!

Finish colouring in your pictures, and then we will thank God for all the food that He provides for us.

God bless!
