God Watches Over You!
"For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous" (1 Peter 3:12)
Where can I Go?
Sometimes we feel lost, confused and uncertain of what to do, or think, or say.
There is a song that says:
Where can I go, where can I go,
seeking a refuge for my soul.
Where can I go but to the Lord!
Even King David questioned his circumstances and in Psalm 139:7-10, he asked:
"Where can I go from Your Spirit and where can I flee from Your presence?"
But then he realised that God was with him wherever he went.
David went on to confess:
"If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths,
You are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the
far side of the sea,
even there Your hand will guide me, Your right
hand will hold me fast."
What assurance David had that God was always with him to keep him safe and
guide him. God is still that same and said, "I change not!" He
is still our loving Heavenly Father, and we can be assured that He will
also keep us safe and guide us too.
God Watches Over Us:
David spent much time as a shepherd guarding his sheep. He no doubt
looked up the stars at night and pondered on how God was always looking
down on him. In Psalm 121:7-8, God gave us a precious promise:
"The Lord will keep you from all harm - He will watch over your life.
The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and
forevermore."
Just think, God is looking down on you right now! He sees your
thoughts and know what is in your heart. He knows how you feel and
what troubles you.
The writer of 2 Chronicles 16:9 promises that:
"The eyes of the Lord run to and fro (range) throughout the whole
earth,
to show Himself strong in the behalf of them
whose heart
is perfect toward (committed to) Him."
Not only does God look down at you and see your thoughts, feelings and
troubles, He also wants to help you in all these areas. He wants
to use His mighty power to change and mould you, and add many blessings
to your life.
God Looks and Listens!
The Apostle Peter assures us in 1 Peter 3:12, that God is very active in
the lives of those who love and serve Him:
"For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and His ears are
attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those
who do evil."
What a gracious God we serve! Bow down your head and praise and
worship Him, for He is a Great, Big, Wonderful God. &nbsb;Thank Him for
caring for you and that He will meet every need that you have. Then
say the words from the old song:
I sing because I am happy,
I sing because I'm glad,
For His eye is
on the sparrow,
and I know He watches me!
God Bless!
