Romans 10:16 and Colossians 3:15-17.
Do you have the type of faith that says - "I suppose it's true?"
Or can you say and really mean it, "I give myself, my heart
and my soul to God!" Faith produces a complete change to your
life. It changes you inside into a new person (new creation)
who wants to serve and please Jesus in all you do and say.
Romans 10:16 shows us that these changes come from obeying Jesus:
"Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ."
Your love for Jesus will cause you to want show His love to others.
Your attitude, actions, words and deeds will change and
you will begin to treat others with kindness, caring and love.
In Colossians 3:15-17, Paul counsels us to:
"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts ... And be thankful.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly ... And whatever you do,
whether in word or deed,
do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through Him."
With Jesus in your heart, your life will change and things like swearing
will stop as they no longer belong to you! Your unkind words
will dry up and change to those that are kind, helpful and polite.
Your actions will change to those that are good, to obeying your
parents and teachers, to learning hard at school, and not fighting but
forgiving those who annoy you.
Test your faith today and make sure that you can say, "I believe
because I have true faith in God and in Jesus.
