Growth in Ministry

Growing in the Word like a beautiful flower!

Who is Growing You?

Teachers need personal spiritual development.  Are you growing?  A flower looks excellent, but it starts dying the moment you pick it off the plant.  It has become separated from the root that nourished it and supplied it with essential elements.

Jesus said that we are branches that have been grafted into Him when we give our hearts and lives to Jesus and become a child of God.  As such, we need to live in Jesus so that we can produce fruit:

"I am the Vine, you are the branches:
He that lives in Me and I in him, will produce much fruit.
For without Me you can do nothing" (John 15:5).

Are You Living for Jesus?

Are you truly living in Jesus?  Have you been re-born as God's child?  Has your life changed and are you a new creation?  Do you trust Jesus and have faith in Him each day?

What a pity if we were to point others to Heaven and they find Jesus as Saviour, and then we are left behind!  Jesus warns us to:

"Abide (stay) in Me, and I in you.
As a branch cannot bear fruit except it remains in the vine,
and neither can you produce fruit except you abide in Me" (John 15:4).

Are You Growing Spiritually?

Are you growing spiritually in Jesus?  That is the only way that we can produce fruit that will remain.  Only by obeying Jesus and doing what the Bible teaches us with the help of the Holy Spirit, we will please God and produce fruit.  Jesus tells us in John 15:7, how to accomplish this:

"If you abide (live) in Me, and My words abide in you,
you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you."

Do You have Spiritual Power?

We need spiritual power - that's where the Holy Spirit ministers into our lives.  Make sure your life is right with God so that He can lead you into a closer walk.  With this will come a desire to read God's word and to spend time in prayer and communion with Him.  This will bring new vision, inspiration and excitement into your life and into your children's ministry.

If you get excited then this will rub off on the children.  And if you are growing spiritually by studying the Word, praying and communing with God, then the children will also grow.

God's Grace is with You:

Zerubbabel finished building the temple in Jerusalem with mighty shouts of thanksgiving for God's mercy, declaring that it was all done by God's grace alone!

He succeeded because of God's Spirit was with him, even though his helpers were few in number and weak in body.  Zechariah 4:6 says:

"Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts."

God is on your side too.  He wants to do exactly the same for you as He did for Zerubbabel.  God is extending His grace to you, and the Holy Spirit is waiting for you to call on Jesus to empower your ministry.

Are you challenged to go on and do the work God wants you to do?  I hope you are.

God Bless!
