Message:
We need to choose our pattern of life-style and values. God
wants us to know who He is, and what He is really like.
He is everlasting and never changes. God has told us much
about Himself in the Bible:
Love:
( Display the Rim on the board )
This circle represents God's never ending love. It's
Like a ring that we wear. Its round and we can turn
it round and round on our finger showing our never ending
love for someone we love! In the same way, God is a
God of love and always seeks our highest good. He
wants us to experience His love and show His love to others.
( Place a the "LOVE" Spoke inside the Rim )
"I have loved you with an everlasting love. I have
drawn you with loving-kindness" (Jeremiah 31:3).
Holy:
God is perfect and all that He does is pure, right and good.
God never sins and cannot stand sin.
( Place a the "HOLY" Spoke inside the Rim )
"There is no one holy like the Lord" (1 Samuel 2:2a).
Truth:
God is truth and never lies. His word is totally
trustworthy so we can trust His promises.
( Place a the "TRUTH" Spoke inside the Rim )
"God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man,
that He should change His mind" (Numbers 23:19).
Good:
God is full of kindness, compassion and tenderheartedness.
He takes pleasure in providing for His people.
( Place a the "GOOD" Spoke inside the Rim )
"Taste and see that the Lord is good - blessed is the man
who takes refuge in Him" (psalm 34:8).
Faithful:
God always does what He has promised in the Bible. You
can trust His Word completely.
( Place a the "FAITHFUL" Spoke inside the Rim )
"For great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of
the Lord lasts forever" (Psalm 117:2).
God's Values Wheel:
Our picture started off with a ring representing God's never ending
love. Next we will add the five spokes that represent God's
Love, Holiness, Truthfulness, Goodness and Faithfulness.
( Add the Hub to complete the Wheel )
Lastly we will add the hub which is God Himself. This
reminds us that we are in God's heart. Now we have God’s
Wheel which will roll on forever since God is Everlasting and
Unchanging. God's values need to be ours as well.
When we ask Jesus to be our Saviour, He comes into our hearts and
makes us brand new inside. The Holy Spirit then starts to
change us so that we want to do good things and please Jesus.
Only Jesus can give us:
Power to live a new life.
Power to live right lives.
Power to please God.
When we live our lives seeking to please God in all we do and say,
other people will see Jesus in us and His love will shine out of
our lives:
"That you may know that there is no one like the Lord our God"
(Exodus 8:10).
They will be drawn to God and this will bring glory to God.
I hope this is what you want to do!
God bless!
