Found in time!
God searched for us before we knew God as our Father and Friend.
In Deuternomy 32:10, we are told that God searched for those He loved
and:
"Found him in a desert land,
in a barren and howling wilderness.
He shielded him and instructed and cared for him,
He guarded
him as the apple of His eye."
It was like we were lost in a vast desert (Show the eye oval with
the picture of a desert on it). Deserts are sand and
stony wastelands where the wind can howl and cause dense sand storms
which can bury you or fill your nostrils with sand until you can't
breathe!
We were dying in our sins because Romans 6:23, tells us that the wages of
sin is death! God did not want us to die, so He sent Jesus to
be our Saviour. And God found us and rescued us.
Saved and Shielded!
Jesus saved us from the storms. He washed the sand out of our eyes
so that we could see that we needed a Saviour to forgive us for our
sins and grant to us eternal life.
When we asked Jesus to live in our hearts, Jesus shielded us from the
attacks of the devil and taught us how to love and obey God. He
cared for us and instructed us in the way we should walk as Christians,
and His love changed us. I'm going to add a shield to my oval to
show how God rescued us from the desert (Fix the eye-ball over the
desert).
Guarded as an Apple!
God watches over us and guards us every moment of every day, because we
are His children and belong to Him. We are the apples of His
eye and are very precious to God (
Add the apple pupil to complete
the eye and show it to the children).
Now we have an eye-ball and it is watching over you. The Bible says
that God's eye is on us all the time to protect us from harm and evil.
In Psalm 17:8, David asked God to:
"Keep me as the apple of Your eye;
Hide me in the shadow of Your
wings."
We can pray and ask God do the same for us. And guess what?
You are an "Eye-ball Apple" and are very special to Jesus!
God bless.
