Memory Hide and Seek

Materials:

Prepare several large circle, triangle, square and other shapes from different coloured A4 card. Write a word from the verse onto each shape and then cut them into five irregular pieces.

The Competition:

One way to revise a memory verse is to distribute these pieces to the of children. Say, "Find other children with the same colour as yours and then put the puzzle pieces together. The first group to finish their word will receive a prize! We will then have a competition to see who can arrange the words in the correct order for the verse we learnt two weeks ago".

Treasure Hunt Competition:

You can also play this as a treasure hunt. Divide the children into teams of five and tell them their colour, for example "Blue". On your word, "Go", they must then find puzzle pieces of that colour that you had previously hidden all around the hall. They then race to complete their puzzles as before.
