"Teacher" and "Sealer" written on the thumb and fingers with a
fabric pen.

The words on each finger on the glove is displayed in turn, as
you talk about that characteristic of the Holy Spirit.
Age Group:
Grades 1 - 7 (7 to 14 years).
Theme:
The Holy Spirit is a special Person who wants to live in our hearts
and guide and strengthen us.
Lesson:
Before Jesus ascended up into Heaven, He promised His disciples that
He was not leaving them alone, but that He was going to send to them
a Comforter. This was the third Person of the Godhead, the
Holy Spirit. This happened on the day of Pentecost and in John
14:15-16, Jesus promised:
"If you love me, you will obey what I command.
And I will ask
the Father, and He will give you another Counsellor (Comforter)
to be with you forever, even the Spirit of Truth.
The
world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows
Him.
But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in
you."
Comforter:
The Holy Spirit is a special Person who wants to live in our lives and
guide and strengthen us. Let's use our fingers to see what the
Holy Spirit can do in our lives and what He should mean to us
everyday.
My glove thumb tells us that the Holy Spirit is our Comforter.
When we are down, discouraged or lonely, He comforts us and fills our
hearts with joy, peace and hope. He brings the love of Jesus
into our hearts and reminds us that Jesus will never leave us nor
forsake us.
Guide:
My first finger teaches us that the Holy Spirit is our Guide.
He speaks to our hearts and helps us make the right decisions.
In John 16:13, Jesus said:
"But when He, the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all
truth.
He will not speak on his own - He will speak only
what He hears,
and He will tell you what is yet to come."
Helper:
My second finger tells us that the Holy Spirit is our Helper. He
tells us that we can only serve and please God with the help and
strength of Jesus. He helps us not to do wrong things and
strengthens us so that we can please God in all we do and say.
In John 15:26, Jesus said:
"When the Counsellor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father,
the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father,
He will testify
(tell) about Me."
Teacher:
My third finger shows us that the Holy Spirit is our Teacher. He
teaches us to do what the Bible says, helps us to understand it, and
to obey God. In John 14:26, Jesus said:
"But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in
My name,
will teach you all things and will remind you of
everything I have said to you."
Sealer:
Lastly, my little finger tells us that the Holy Spirit is our Sealer.
This means He seals us so that we belong to God. It's
like placing us into an envelope so that God could lick the flap
and seal it closed. He could then say, "Now you now belong
only to Me!" And we do belong to God! In Ephesians 4:30,
Paul tells us:
"And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God,
with Whom you were
sealed for the day of redemption."
Open your life to the Holy Spirit, and you can be sure that He will
be with you always, until the day you see Jesus!
God bless!
