Jesus always watches over us, and guides and protects His children.
One day Jesus met Philip and said to him, "I want you to follow Me."
Philip was pleased and so he went and found Nathanael and told
him, "We have found the One that Moses wrote about and His name is Jesus
of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."
Wouldn't you have loved to be able to follow Jesus as He went about
preaching and teaching, and healing people? (Let the children
respond). You might have been one of the children that Jesus
blessed. How would you have felt? (Let the children
Come and See:
And what about Nathanael? He was not pleased and sourly muttered,
"Nazareth! Pooh! Can anything good come out of Nazareth?"
Philip replied, "Why don't you come and see." And so the
two friends went out and searched for Jesus. When Jesus saw
Nathanael approaching He said, "Here is a true man of Israel in whom
there are no deceit (that is no lies)."
Nathanael was very surprised and gasped, "How do you know me?"
Jesus smiled as He answered, "I saw you while you were still sitting
under the fig tree before Philip called you." Nathanael could
not believe his ears and exclaimed, "Teacher, You are the Son of God
and You are the King of Israel."
Jesus Always Sees Me:
Nathanael could not understand how Jesus could have seen him many
kilometres away. But, Jesus did see him and wanted Nathanael
to love Him as his Saviour and Friend. And Jesus always sees
every girl and boy that loves Him, and who have invited Jesus into
Can Jesus always see you? (Let the children respond). Yes,
Jesus can always see you. When you are away from your parents
at camp or on a hike, Jesus is with you. You can't see Jesus,
but He is watching over you. When you are riding in the car,
working at school, or playing outside, Jesus is with you. He
is watching over you, working in your life and guiding you in God's
Jesus is with Me:
When you go to sleep at night and it is dark in your room, Jesus is
with you, and He is watching over you and protecting you. So
you don't have to be afraid. Jesus does not sleep and He said,
"I am with you always!" And so when you wake up in the morning,
Jesus is still with you and is still watching over you!
We love Jesus and He loves each one of us very dearly and said, "I
will never leave you, nor forsake you." Let's remember every
morning that we are God's children and remind ourselves, "Jesus
always sees me!"
