Giving Your Life to Jesus

I'm glad you want to give your life to Jesus. I want you to know that God loves you very dearly. Put your name in the dotted spaces in the verse below, and say it out loud:

"For God so loved ( your name ......... ), that He gave His one and only Son, Jesus Christ,
that if ( ........ ) believes in Him, you will not perish ,
but have eternal life in Heaven (from John 3:16).

God wants you to turn away from your sin and do things His way. Sin is diobeying God and doing wrong things. You need to realise that unless you give your life to Jesus, you will be separated from God forever when you die. The Bible says:

"For ALL have sinned and have not lived up to the goodness of God" (Romans 3:23).

"For the wages of sin is death (being separated from God forever)" (Romans 6:23a).

Believe:

Do you believe that Jesus died on the Cross to forgive your sins, and did not stay dead? And that He rose again, proving that He is the Son of God? If you do, you will see that Jesus can forgive our sins and that He is the only way to Heaven. We read in the Bible that:

"While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

"I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6).

Decide:

If you decide to give your life to Jesus, then you need to tell Jesus that you have sinned, and ask Him to wash your sins away and make you clean inside.

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins,
and to cleanse us from all wrong" (1 John 1:9).

"But the gift of God is Eternal Life through Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23b).

Pray:

Now ask Jesus come into your life as your Saviour by saying this prayer out loud:

Dear God,
I know I have done wrong things. Please forgive all my sins and make me clean inside. Come into my life and be my Saviour, Best Friend and Lord. Change me into a child of God, and make me into the kind of person You want me to be.

I know that when I die I will live forever with You in Heaven. Help me to read the Bible, and talk to You every day, so that I can please You in all I do.

I receive this now in Jesus Name, Amen.

Trust:

Now, believe and know from the Bible that Jesus has Saved you. Trust God to do what He has promised in your life. Say out loud, "Jesus has forgiven my sin and made me clean inside, and now I'm a child of God and have a place in Heaven".

"For it is by grace (God’s loving kindness) that you are saved through faith.
It is the gift of God, not by which you do" (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Make sure you serve Jesus and please Him every day. Grow as a Christian by talking to God each day in prayer, reading your Bible (start in Luke's Gospel), and going to a Children's Church each week. Don't forget to tell your friends about Jesus and what He has done for you!
