Text:
1 John 2:5, "If anyone obeys Jesus' commands, God's love is truly made
complete in Him".
The Competition:
We are going to have a contest to see how many drops of water can be
placed on a coin without any falling off. I will partially fill a
dropper with water. Practice using the dropper until you can let
out drops one at a time by gradually squeezing the rubber bulb.
Now hold it vertically about 1 centimetre above the coin. Count
the drops as you drop them onto the coin and watch as the water builds
up. The surface tension eventually will break causing the water
to spill off the coin. How many drops did you count? Now
let's dry the coin and let someone else have a turn. We want to
find the Drip-Drop Champion!
Application:
Every day we experience God’s love, mercy and care for us in the way He
guides and protects us. We have God's blessing on our lives and
we can talk to Him at any time. He puts joy into our hearts so
that we can thank and praise Him for His goodness and for our family
and friends. If we try to obey and please Jesus in everything we
do, then we will experience more and more of God's love.
Romans 5:5 says that God has poured out His love into our hearts by the
Holy Spirit. When this love begins to overflow, God's love will
touch the lives of all those that we meet and talk to. Is God's
love in your heart? If not, make sure that Jesus is living in
your heart!
God bless.
