How to Lead a Child to Christ
Here are six easy steps to help a child become one of God's children. The Bible verse are mostly paraphrased to make the easy for children to understand:
1. Realise that God Loves You:
"For God so loved ( your name ...... ) that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ,
2. Realise that You have Sinned:
"For ALL have sinned and not lived up to God's goodness" - Romans 3:23.
"For the wages of sin is death (to be separated from God forever)" - Romans 6:23a.
3. Believe that Jesus Died on the Cross to forgive Your Sins:
"While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" - Romans 5:8.
"I am the Way and the Truth and the Life.
4. Decide to give Your Life to Jesus:
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins,
and to cleanse us from all wrong" - 1 John 1:9. "But the gift of God is Eternal Life through Christ Jesus our Lord" - Romans 6:23b.
If you have decided to live for Jesus, then ask Jesus into your life by
saying this prayer:
Dear God,
5. Believe that Jesus has saved You:
"For it is by grace (God's kindness) that you are saved through faith.
6. Grow as a Christian:
Now trust God to do what He has promised in your life. Jesus has forgiven
your sin and made you clean inside. As God's child you need to serve
Jesus and please Him in every thing you do.
Grow as a Christian by going to children's church or Sunday School and reading your Bible. Talk to God in prayer every day, and tell Him all your needs and fears. Don't forget to tell your friends about Jesus and what He has done for you.
Note:
When leading a child to Christ, pray for and expect the Holy Spirit to convict
the child of sin and to illuminate the child's mind so that he or she can grasp
the saving truth of the Gospel.
God bless!
