Ministry Keys
What Jesus Wants:
What does Jesus want to do in and through your ministry? Do you have a vision and are you planting seeds? Are you winning souls for God? Are you discipling children and teaching them how to grow spiritually? Consider the list of keys and make sure that they are all part of your ministry:
Key 1 - Jesus
- Jesus is our Foundation.
- We are built on Him.
- Jesus needs us to shine for Him.
Key 2 - Prayer
- Pray to be effective.
- Water the seeds of the Word with Prayer.
- Prayer changes things.
Key 3 - Salvation
- Tell children the Good News of Salvation.
- Pray for their Conversion.
- Guide and make Disciples of them
Key 4 - Example
- Live as a good example.
- Be pure, upright, truthful and trustworthy.
- Children will follow your example.
Key 5 - Approachable
- Be approachable and concerned.
- Learn all about your children.
- Love and care for them.
Key 6 - Teaching
- Teach from what you know.
- Teach the pure Word of God.
- Be practical - show them how to do it.
Key 7 - Variety
- Variety creates interest.
- Do unusual things.
- Don’t always do the same things.
Key 8 - Winning Souls
- Obeying Jesus' command.
- Sharing Gospel with friends.
- Inviting children to meetings.
Key 9 - Relationships
- Visiting your children.
- Getting to know their spiritual needs.
- Praying for their conversion.
Key 10 - Involvement
- Use me, or lose Me?.
- Involve children in every program.
- Let them sing, act and do activities.

You can cut out a set of the ten ministry keys and use them to train your children
in discipleship and outreach. These questions are pertinent to them,
especially to older children. What does Jesus want to do in in their
lives? Do they have a vision to plant seeds and win other children for
God? Are all the children Saved and growing spiritually? Let them
consider the list of keys and see how many are relevant in their lives.
