Jesus did not put on any airs, but came to serve and save us through His death and resurrection.  Philippians 2:5 says:

"Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus."

It's not enough for us to act interested in others, but we must show real love and concern for them.  It's also not enough to act unselfishly, we must be free from inner selfishness.   Just as Christ died on the cross for us, so we must die to ourselves and find a true and better self in Jesus.

We are to be like Jesus, not just in the way we act and speak, but in our innermost thoughts and values.  As we have fellowship with God and worship Him and seek to please Him, the Holy Spirit will develop the same attitude and values that Christ has.  The W.W.J.D armband teaches us to think, "What would Jesus do?" before we speak or act.   In the same way we need to follow Jesus' example in our lives, thoughts and deeds.
