Little Sins

God won't catch me out!

Text:

Ephesians 2:1-2, "As for you, you were dead in your wrongdoings and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world."

Lesson:

The Apostle James saw that sin was sin, no matter how big or how small the sins were.  In James 4:7-8 he said;

"Submit yourselves to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw near to God and He will come near to you.
Wash your hands you sinners, and purify your hearts."

So what lying?  Most people think it's only a "white lie".  But, even a little lie is as bad as if you had killed someone.  Stealing a slice of the cake ruins it and upsets the one who baked for the party.  I did my homework (you lied with your fingers crossed behind your back) is a lie and a sin.

Surely little sins don't worry God, after all we're only children!  Wrong!  There are no "Little sins" as saying anything that is wrong is a sin.  God cannot stand sin, and the Bible says that the wages of sin is death (eternal separation from God).  We cannot commit a few "little sins" since the only way we can please God is be holy in all we do.

Your faith in Jesus must make a difference to your way of life.  Otherwise you are dead in your sins (trespasses) and do not have a living faith in our Lord!  Check your life today and make sure you have confessed all your sins to Jesus and asked for His forgiveness and cleansing.

God bless!
