Today I am going to make a balloon dog.  He's hot isn't he?  He's very faithful and will follow me wherever I go.  God only made a few animals which we call "domestic" and of these, dogs are man's best friends.

I have a Maltese poodle who is very faithful.  He will follow me around the house.  Every day he will sleep peacefully at my feet while I work.  If someone comes to my house, he will rush to the front door to tell me that someone has arrived.  If I move to another room, he will follow me and lie down as close to me as he can.  He's a real "Best Friend" to me!  In Proverbs 18:24b, Solomon tells us that:

"There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother".

Jesus is that Friend and he is more faithful than any dog we may have owned.  He is always looking out for us and speaks to God on our behalf.  In addition, Jesus sent His special messenger, the Holy Spirit to also be our Friend.

My dog will come at any time and shower his love on me by jumping up and licking me.  In the same manner, the Holy Spirit wants to pour the love of Jesus into our hearts.  He also wants to be our guide and protect us every day.  Why don't you ask Jesus to do this in your life?

I want you to remember my "Hot Dog" balloon, and better still, remember that Jesus is our Best Friend.  Is He yours?  If He isn't, then you can ask Him right now to be your Best Friend, Saviour and Lord.
